Suuz Studio
Suuz Studio is the artisanal ceramics project of Suzanne Wathelet, a Brussels-based journalist specialising in decoration, design, architecture and travel, whose reports have been published for many years in national and international magazines. Alongside her career in the press, she is now exploring the world of terracotta after falling in love with this ancestral art during a workshop in California. Back in Belgium, she discovered the joy of creating original pieces with her own hands, using the modelling technique. Inspired by modernist and organic architecture from the 50s and 70s, this Belgian artist blends function and decoration in her work. Her pieces are reimagined with a contemporary, wabi-sabi touch. Some of her work has already been exhibited in Brussels, the Netherlands and France in contemporary art galleries and well-known interior design boutiques. While she creates vases and tableware, Suzanne likes to think about lighting that hasn’t been seen before.
Eclipse designed by Suuz Studio for Pomax
Eclipse is born from cosmic inspiration, the rare moment when the sun and moon align, casting the world into a dance of light and shadow. The design language, shaped by a cubic form, echoes the lines of a city, gently covered as the moon passes before the sun. Every piece holds a spark of the universe, showing that light endures, even in
the shadows.
